Learning Experience Design

Learning Experience Design (LXD) is a strategic approach to solving business challenges through intentional, learner-centered design. Building on the foundation of Instructional Design, LXD integrates insights from user experience (UX), behavioral psychology, and systems thinking to create experiences that drive learning, performance, and measurable outcomes. LXD goes beyond content delivery by focusing on the entire learning journey, from awareness and engagement to retention and application. Whether developing scalable digital programs, high-impact workshops, or performance support tools, LXD begins with understanding the learner's context and aligning the experience to organizational goals. The result is learning that not only resonates with people—but moves the needle for the business.

My Approach:

Anchor 1

My approach to LXD work is grounded in a flexible, learner-centered process that adapts to the needs of each project. While I often draw from models like ADDIE, SAM, and Action Mapping, I also incorporate principles from Design Thinking, Merrill’s First Principles, and Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels to ensure relevance and impact. This framework allows me to thoughtfully analyze needs, build effective solutions, and continuously improve based on data-supported feedback.

Each step includes an icon and a label: (1) Understand Context, (2) Define Problem & Design Solution, (3) Build & Deliver the Experience, and (4) Measure, Reflect, & Iterate. The steps are visually connected by arrows, emphasizing a sequential and iterative design process.
