Summary:

It highlights key strategies for building successful and lasting groups, including setting clear goals, establishing structure, and thoughtfully considering group composition by discipline or genre. Viewers will also learn best practices for giving effective, interactive feedback focused on content, organization, style, and correctness. The presentation concludes by showcasing the Purdue Writing Lab’s resources for supporting both group-based and individual writing development.

Peer Tutor Perspectives

Summary:

In this video, undergraduate tutors from the Purdue Writing Lab share their experiences supporting fellow Boilermakers through peer-to-peer writing consultations. They highlight the collaborative, encouraging environment of the Writing Lab and the wide range of support they offer—from brainstorming and organizing ideas to refining drafts and building writer confidence. The video showcases how the Writing Lab fosters a strong sense of academic community and empowers students to grow as communicators.

The OWL @ 25: An Anniversary Retrospective
